In May, Nissan revealed they are heading back in to the hatchback market after deserting it in favour of small SUVs with an all new Nissan Pulsar to take on the might of the VW Golf and Ford Focus in the hotly contested C-Segment market. And now we know how much the Nissan Pulsar will cost, what its engines will be and what trim options will be available. The new Pulsar will go on sale in t he Autumn in the UK with a choice of two engines – the 1.2 litre DIG-T 115 petrol and the 1.5 litre dCi 110 diesel – and a choice of four trim levels - Visia, Acenta, n-tec and Tekna – although there will doubtless be more engine, and trim, options available after launch including a 190PS 1.6 litre turbo petrol.
General Motors has been in Germany, testing the most powerful Chevrolet Camaro ever produced. On Wednesday, the company said the Camaro ZL1 posted a lap time of 7 minutes, 41.27 seconds. The 2012 Camaro ZL1 ran around the 13-mile course a tick faster than the 2005 Porsche 911 GT3 and a tick slower than 911 Turbo S.

The new VW Golf GTI is launching in the UK (22nd May) and in a pretty cool ‘interest gatherer’ VW has created a virtual Scalextric game to keep the interest bubble growing for the new GTI. The game is based on a complex Scalextric setup created for VW by a team of 60 Scalextric modellers. The 30′ x 25′ layout features over 200 scale buildings and a challenging variety of twists and turns.
